Missouri GOP Playing Machine Politics with Ron Paul Delegates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 25, 2008

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – The Ron Paul campaign has been receiving reports that Missouri GOP rules have been violated in the set-up and execution of several county Republican caucuses. Ron Paul supporters in Missouri have been attending their county caucuses and electing Ron Paul delegates to be seated at the Missouri Republican State Convention. However, there are concerns that many Ron Paul delegates to the Missouri Republican State Convention were disenfranchised and not properly seated.

On Thursday, March 20, campaign field director Debbie Hopper visited the Missouri state GOP headquarters to request a copy of the records needed to obtain the information to file challenges. She was told in front of witnesses that she could not view the report. To obtain the needed information, Ms. Hopper then used the contact information of county chairs listed on the state GOP website. On Saturday, March 22, the webpage containing their contact information had been removed.

The Paul campaign believes that a handful of GOP officials are playing machine politics and breaking their own rules to disenfranchise Paul supporters.

"The Republican party is in trouble and needs more participants in 2008, not less," said campaign manager Lew Moore. "It makes no sense for Missouri party leaders to exclude and marginalize the new activists they badly need to work at every level this fall."

Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul's supporters have been highly successful in several Missouri counties. In St. Charles County (suburb of St. Louis), Paul supporters filled 241 of the 274 country Republican delegate slots. In Jackson County (Kansas City), Paul supporters filled 162 of 187 delegate slots. And in Greene County (Springfield), Paul supporters filled 72 of 112 delegate slots.

HOW THE CLINTONS WILL DESTROY JOHN MCCAIN

This article is reprinted with the author's permission. The original article is found at To The Point News.

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler
Thursday, 31 January 2008

The number of fellow Senators who think John McCain is psychologically unstable is large.  Some will admit it publicly, like Thad Cochran who says, "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine."

Others relate times when McCain screamed four-letter obscenities right in their faces in the Senate cloak room, like Dick Shelby, Rick Santorum, or Jim Inhofe.  "The man is unhinged," one Senator told me.  "He is frighteningly unfit to be Commander-in-Chief."

That John McCain is clinically nuts is scary enough.  What worries a small group of GOP Senators and Congressmen even more is a deep and dark skeletal secret in McCain's glorified past to which they are privy, and which the Clintons will use to blackmail him.

They have been having discussions with a Russian whom we'll call "T" for Translator.  T's father was the Soviet military intelligence officer who ran the "Hanoi Hilton" prison holding captured Americans during the Vietnam War.  One of those prisoners was John McCain.

The GRU -- Glavnoje Razvedyvatel'noje Upravlenije or Main Intelligence Directorate of the Soviet (now Russian) Armed Forces - operated the entire North Vietnamese prison system holding American prisoners of war.  GRU officers, all of whom were Russians, oversaw the interrogation of every American POW.

The interrogations themselves were conducted by Vietnamese who spoke some English.  After each interrogation session, which could often include torturing the prisoners at the direction of the GRU officers, the Vietnamese interrogator would write a report of the session - in Vietnamese.

These reports had to be translated into Russian.  T, a bright teenager living in the GRU compound in Hanoi, had become fluent in Vietnamese, and ended up translating many of the reports and interrogators' notes.

John McCain, flying his A-4 Skyhawk, was shot down over Hanoi on October 26, 1967.  Badly injured from the ejection, he was beaten and abused by his captors.  In July, 1968, his father, US Navy Admiral J. S. McCain, was made CINCPAC, Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Command, commander of all US military forces in the Vietnam theatre.  Upon learning this, the Vietnamese offered - according to McCain - to release him.

McCain claims he refused, because he demanded all American POWs captured before him be released as well. He thus remained a prisoner when he could have gone home, and was subjected to constant brutal beatings and torture for years:  that is the source of the "war-hero" saga making McCain a greater war-hero than any other American POW.

Yet the offer of release would had to have been approved by the GRU overseers of the North Vietnamese - and T does not recall any such offer being made.  T admits, however, that this took place before McCain was transferred to Hoa Loa prison, nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton" by the POWs.  T had only direct knowledge of what happened at Hoa Loa, and not the other prisons, where T's father was in charge.

McCain was kept at the Hanoi Hilton from December 1969 until his release, along with all the remaining POWs, in March of 1973.  During this time, T translated all the Vietnamese interrogators' notes and reports regarding John McCain.

According to T, they reveal that McCain had made an "accommodation" with his captors, and in exchange, T's father saw that he was provided with an apartment in Hanoi and the services of two prostitutes.  Upon returning to his prison cell, he would say he had been held in solitary confinement. That may be why so many of his fellow prisoners said later they saw so little of him at Hoa Loa.

The notes and reports written in Vietnamese were sent to Moscow, where T was a now a college student, for T's translation into Russian, then placed into GRU archives.  That's where they stayed until 1991.  Late that year, as the Soviet Union was collapsing, the CIA and the GRU made a deal for a document swap.

All of what it involved, T doesn't know.  What T's father, by now retired but still with substantial contacts within the GRU, did learn (and thus T learned) was that the swap included all of T's translations.

In other words, the CIA has in its possession the notes and reports of John McCain's interrogators at the Hanoi Hilton, in both the original Vietnamese and translated Russian, showing collaboration with his Communist captors.

Allegations of this nature have been made over the years, many by Vietnam veterans.  There is an even an organization, Vietnam Veterans Against McCain.  But they are based on suspicions and circumstantial claims.  There has never been any hard direct evidence.

What T says the CIA has is such evidence.  Its release would destroy McCain.  The threat of its release could force McCain to take a fall, blow the election and lose on purpose.  And just who do you suppose would know what the CIA has and work with them to release it?

Someone who has been a CIA asset since he was recruited by London station chief Cord Meyer while a student at Oxford in 1968?

(Back in the 90s years after he retired,  if Cord drank a little too much Scotch, he would laugh derisively at those conspiratorialists who accused Bill Clinton of being connected with the KGB.

"They all darkly point to Bill's participation in anti-war peace conferences in Stockholm and Oslo, and his trip to Leningrad, Moscow, and Prague while he was at Oxford. ‘Who could have paid for this?', they ask. ‘It had to be the KGB!' they claim." Cord would shake his head. "What rot - we paid for it. We recruited Bill the first week he was at Oxford. Bill's been an asset of The Three Bad Words ever since."  Cord passed on in 2001.)

The small group of Senators and Congressmen who have been briefed by T have been unable to confirm with the CIA any details of its document swap with the GRU beyond an admission that such a swap "may have happened."  They are very nervous about pursuing the matter any further.

The Clintons are not nervous.  They are utterly ruthless, and have buddies at Langley all too happy to help them.

It has been noted many times here in To The Point that while most folks think the CIA is a right-wing outfit, it is not. The CIA has been dominated by left-wing hyper-liberals for years.

The CIA is a left-wing, liberal outfit, and its main job for some time now is not attacking America's enemies but conservatives in general and George W. Bush in particular.  The story is best told by friend, Ken Timmerman in his new book Shadow Warriors.

When the time is right, the Clintons will see to the leaking of the GRU archives on McCain to the media. Bet on it, just as you can bet they'll follow it up with media disclosures of the lady lobbyists in Washington having adulterous affairs with McCain.  (There are at least three of them; I know the name of one but I'm not going to put it in writing.)

Maybe McCain will try to fight back by confirming Hillary's well-known bisexuality and her lesbian affair with her beautiful assistant, Huma Abedin.  Google "Hillary" and "Huma Abedin" and you'll get almost 6,000 hits. Turns out Huma is a Moslem who grew up in Saudi Arabia and is strongly suspected of working for Saudi intelligence.

Or maybe he'll capitulate to Clinton blackmail.  You never can tell what a psychologically unstable guy will do.

And that last point is why - be prepared for this, folks - I would not in any circumstances vote for John McCain, not if either Hillary or Obama were the alternative.  Evil is safer than crazy.  Leftie amateur inexperience is safer than crazy.  So I agree with Ann Coulter who says:

"I'd rather deal with President Hillary than with President McCain. With Hillary, we'll get the same ruinous liberal policies with none of the responsibility."

How in the world can the Republican Party get saddled with a nutcase whack-job who knows nothing about economics, is so anti-capitalist he uses "profit" as a term of derision, has never run a business or had any job outside of government, will raise taxes, is so stupid that he believes "stopping global warming" is worth destroying the American economy, won't drill ANWR, won't appoint strict constructionist justices, won't protect marriage, will give amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens, is beloved by the New York Times, and lives in a delusionary world of vanity and rage?

Rush is right.  A McCain presidency will be the destruction of the Republican Party.  It needs to be rebuilt, not wiped out with the field clear for the fascists of the left to consolidate power and eliminate freedom.

And maybe the only way to rebuild it is in dedicated impassioned opposition to a Clinton White House.  That should be the subject of Ann Coulter's next book.  I've already got the title for her.  Her last book was If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans.

Ann needs to now write this book:  If Republicans Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans.

[A Yogi Berra note. There still is a chance for Romney, the last remaining hope.  If he can win enough delegates on Super Tuesday next week, combined with Huckabee winning Georgia and other southern states, it may still be possible for McCain to end up with only a plurality of delegates, not a majority, at the end of primary season.  An open convention is still possible, during which Republicans could come to their senses. It's not over until it's over.]

John McCain Is A Liberal Gun Grabber

by Chuck Baldwin
February 22, 2008

The last thing we need is another liberal neocon in the White House. If the Presidency of George W. Bush proved anything, it proved the hazard of electing phony Republican conservatives. At least one is able to clearly see a liberal for what he or she is when they have a "D" behind their name. But put an "R" behind the name and suddenly their liberal, Big-Government, anti-freedom agenda is barely recognized, which makes a liberal Republican much more dangerous than a liberal Democrat.

Let me say it straight out: a John McCain Presidency would be far worse than a Barack Obama Presidency. With a Democrat in the White House, conservatives and Christians suddenly find their principles and are able to offer resistance. Put a Republican in the Oval Office, however, and those same people become blind, deaf, and dumb to most any principle they profess.

Nowhere is McCain's chicanery and duplicity more jeopardous than in the area of the right to keep and bear arms. On issues relating to the Second Amendment, John McCain is a disaster! For example, the highly respected Gun Owners of America (GOA) rates McCain with a grade of F-. McCain's failing grade is well deserved.

It Happened to England, We Must Stop It Here

The following is a forum post from an a Brit who is a Ron Paul supporter. With her permission, I am reposting it here. Listen up America, before it's too late.

This is Breaking My Heart
by Julia

Anyone round here ever seen something horrible happen and then a few years later see it happening all over again?

That's where I am living just now.

In my lifetime I watched England turn from a great nation to a cowed city state of the European empire. We have no control of our borders, no control of our taxes; no control of our foreign policy - heck, we can't even buy a pound of bananas in our supermarkets any more because Europe says we have to have everything in Kilos.

I have to abide by European employment legislation in my business, I am not allowed to work more than 50 hours a week and I MUST have 4 weeks paid vacation - even though I already have 15 weeks compulsory vacation as an education worker.

I pay 35% of anything I make to the government - then another 8% on top of that - then my company pays another 12.8% on top of that for the joy of employing me - then I pay $2000 a MONTH in local government tax on a very small house - and 17.5% tax on everything I buy - except fuel where I pay almost $12 a gallon of which over 80% is tax.

The government or the police watch everything I do via CCTV, my financial records are centralized and getting access to the info they hold on me costs me $20 and months of letters and calls to find out - if it ever arrives.

That's my nightmare and you don't have to care about it. But people, if you don't get your fingers out of your ears, eyes, mouths and any other orifice you might have them stuck in it will only take you 5 or 10 years to end up in the same pile of manure I'm sitting in right now.

I love America - always have - but y'all are not making yourselves real popular around the world right now. And the ONLY candidate in this election who could do a single thing to get you out of it is Ron Paul.

I know what he has said about priorities; I know what the media has done to you; I know people are throwing in the towel on you and things are not looking their best.

But the stakes are too high to give up without one hell of a fight. It's time to get a long line of people to hold up the flag and keep it flying. Go back and listen to the story of the Star Spangled Banner again and start piling up the bodies if you have to (figuratively speaking!) But you have to fight now to save your nation.

You let it go now and it will be gone forever.

Come on, America. Save yourselves - and save me from watching another once great, brave nation go down the pan.

I don't have many answers for you. I'm not a politician. Just think of me as a cheerleader from England who loves what you've got and can't stand the pain of watching it be stolen from you by a small group of lousy politicians and bankers who want to rule the world.

Libertarians Help GOP Mourn

Libertarian Party sends condolences to the Republican National Committee

With the rise of John McCain, LP offers sympathy for the death of small-government values within the GOP

Washington, D.C. - Following a solid McCain victory in the Super Tuesday primaries, the Libertarian Party has sent Republican headquarters a funeral wreath marking the death of limited-government values within the Republican Party.  The wreath was hand-delivered to the D.C. offices of the Republican National Committee.  "We simply felt the need to express our heartfelt sympathy for the Republican Party as they undergo this tough time within their party," says Libertarian Party National Media Coordinator Andrew Davis, who delivered the wreath.

"Given that it has become readily apparent that Senator McCain will soon be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party," reads a card that accompanied the wreath addressed to RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, "we, the staff of the Libertarian National Committee, send our condolences to you upon the death of small-government principles within the GOP."

The note continues:

Libertarians encourage competition within both the free-market and politics. Unfortunately, with the rise of John McCain and the big-spending practices of the Bush administration, the two-party system has emerged as representing only one philosophy - big-government liberalism.

With your loss, the Libertarian Party will continue to move forward to represent those American patriots who still believe in smaller government, lower taxes and more individual freedom.

"McCain's Super Tuesday win marks the death of limited government values within the Republican Party, which had struggled with its principles throughout the Bush administration," says Shane Cory, executive director of the Libertarian Party. "It is a day of mourning for the few remaining small-government Republicans."

Huckabee Scandal Brewing?

Check it out.

Mitt Romney Cares

Radio talker Mark Larson goes a round with Mitt Romney. In typical Mitt style,  Romney is all done with the conversation when he feels like he's getting pressed too hard.

Listen to Mitt demonstrate his deep concern for the little people who struggle to pay their income taxes. Mitt's got his--piss on you.

Straight from Mitt's mouth, you're going to see the government expand.

More of Mitt's greatest hits. In this one, Mitt blows off this guy's question concerning medical marijuana. You can see the concern for the little people just oozing from Mitt.

Mitt loves all living things. Who else would make sure that their dog got plenty of fresh air by leaving the dog on the roof of the car for a 12 hour trip?

The Man Behind The Curtain

by Chuck Baldwin
January 25, 2008

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" is the famous quote from the wizard in the movie classic, The Wizard Of Oz. However, when it comes to national and international affairs, many, if not most, Americans seem to have taken the mythical wizard's advice. They seem oblivious to the man behind the curtain. And make no mistake about it: there is a man (or group of men) behind the curtain.

The American people seem mesmerized by the smoke and mirrors of the political and media elite. For the most part, the people of this country seem totally unaware that while the global elite who run this country passionately promote the "war on terrorism," those same elite are also violently attacking the liberties of the heartland. While they create a gargantuan Department of Homeland Security for our "protection," they are using that very same department to eviscerate the constitutional protections of our republic. While they insist that we are dependent upon oil from Saudi Arabia, they are ignoring giant oil and natural gas discoveries located under the frozen tundra of our 49th State (and other places).  The elite have brilliantly turned the drumbeats of war against Islamofascism into a giant smokescreen to hide their insidious plans to wage a different kind of war against the American people.

The war against the American people is waged on a hundred fronts and with a hundred agendas. But one word seems to best describe the heart of the strategy. And that word is FEAR. The problem is, the man behind the curtain has misdirected people's fears.

No Pork, But the Locust is Good

In case you missed it, Mike Huckabee (Republican presidential hopeful) recently said we should, “amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”

Are we talking Old Testament or New?

Imagine all the amendments if we were to revert to Leviticus. Firstborn animals, no rare steaks, how to properly clean that leprous mobile home. We’d have to convert to shekels — at this point that might not be a bad idea.

There would be advantages for some.

Federal employees would enjoy even more holidays, only now they would be called festivals and some would last for days on end.

Liberals could certainly get on board with the Year of Jubilee, when all debts would be canceled, land would be returned to the Native Americans, and Halliburton would have to free their corporate slaves.

Progressives could ignore the part about guilt offerings, since surely only conservatives are in need of those. (Libertarians, please make note of the sin offerings.)

Huckabee may have backed into the solution for rising healthcare costs. Instead of doctors, we could go to our local priest or pastor and be dabbed with oil.

Who knows? Huck might be on to something, but this is one Christian who wishes he’d just leave well enough alone.

Hillary Flys Her True Colors

When is the American flag not so American? When it's at a Hillary Clinton rally.

The folks at Ron Paul Forums are buzzing about Hillary's Wiccan/Masonic style flag with upside down stars. The Rumor Mill made sure they caught a screen shot of Clinton's web page before someone at the campaign dummied up.

Satanic_flag Is this the new flag we can expect should Hillary be crowned Druid Queen in November?

Talk Radio, Springfield: Chuck Booms, the Other White Meat

Chuckboomssm Chuck Booms, of Kiley and Booms fame, is a recent addition to KWTO's Morningline. I'd never heard of Booms before, but Jason (Life of Jason) has.

If it weren't for all bitching from callers on the weekends to Morningline, I wouldn't even have known there was a new guy in town. He's causing an insurrection among longtime listeners of that station, seemingly egged along by the remaining old timers at the station.

So what's their beef? Ostensibly, it's his voice, which is unlovely. But if Mark Levin can rocket up the talk radio charts with his voice, it shouldn't be an insurmountable problem for Booms.

No, the real problem is the change in policy. Long-time callers are being banned from calling the weekday show. They can call in on weekends and do, to complain bitterly about the ban. I get the impression that a lot (most) of them have nothing else to do except call KWTO. My heart goes out to them, really it does.

I also completely understand the ban. Most of these banned callers are elderly. Bless their hearts, their halting conversations take a long, leisurely trip, destination nowhere. It's like being seated at a table of  friends who have known each other for 80 years. You're the odd man out because there's a long history there and you are privy to none of it. You have no point of reference. You are left out of the conversation.

Not exactly compelling radio. I'm guessing the ratings verify that. It remains to be seen if Chuck Booms can turn that around. Let's hope, for the sake of Springfield radiophiles, that he does.

*Disclaimer: I'm already favorably inclined toward Booms because, even though a conservative, he has not displayed the usual, knee-jerk dissing of Ron Paul that you hear from right-wing radio talkers. Rather shocking from someone with close ties to Faux News. Kudos Chuck.

Best Huckabee Ad Ever!

impromptu Ron Paul Rally in New Hampshire

Ron Paul's New Hampshire supporters converge on the Radisson Hotel in Manchester for a rally/demonstration. Beauty!

In Iraq for 100 Years?!

Check out the expressions on the faces of these New Hampshire voters as John McCain tells them that it's fine with him if we're in Iraq for 100 years.

Local Landlord Held at Gunpoint

I haven't seen any news reports on this yet. I only know of the situation because we used to rent from the same woman and my husband is a friend of the apartment manager.

A man entered a local landlord's home this morning demanding money.

It gets strange in a hurry

The reason the man wanted the check was to pay for legal fees incurred by the father of the last guy that broke in.

Several months ago, the first robber, who was an evicted tenant, broke into the woman s residence on the 1200 block of East Elm, knocked her out cold and stole all her cash, along with some blank checks. He was caught in Cabool, Missouri, trying cash a $75,000 check he had made out to himself.  Robber #1 is now serving time.

Robber #2  a buddy of robber #1  was angry about the legal fees that #1 s family had incurred in his defense and felt that it was only right that the victim cough up some money to repay the family. He gained entrance into the woman s home at approximately 9 a.m. this morning and held her at gunpoint, demanding that she write out a $250,000 check to donate to his cause. A tenant called the woman as she was in the process of writing out the check.

Concerned that she didn t sound quite right, he called the woman s son, who in turned called his mother to see what was going on. She somehow conveyed that she was not alone and that all was not right with the world. The police were called.

The son called the tenant back, he caused a commotion trying to break into the house, frightening Robber #2 off. Sometime later, the police finally arrive.

#2 is still on the loose at this time.

Branson Blogger Covering Iowa

Local blogger, Darin Codin, is on the ground in Iowa covering the Iowa caucus. Darin normally blogs as Branson Missouri (and some of the Iowa footage is on this blog), but has set up a a separate site, Iowa Caucus 2008, for this effort.

My understanding is that Darin is in charge of some local students who are imbeded with each campaign. He probably deserves a medal just for that.

Grassroots Efforts for Ron Paul

Operation Broadcast Freedom now has their website up and running.  Here’s your opportunity to donate (via Chipin) and get some professional ads produced by Jeremiah Black on the air in the early primary states. A very cool feature is that this grassroots effort will be fully transparent, with coverage maps, bids, and receipts posted to the site.

Liberty Broadcast Network is in urgent need of help for their Iowa Watch the Vote 2008 project. You don’t have to be in Iowa to help them report the real vote tallies by uploading totals to the internet. (They will be doing the same for the New Hampshire primary.)

Springfield Ron Paul Meetup Represents!

Members of Springfield Ron Paul Meetup were out on the the square last night, ringing in the New Year by showing their support for Ron Paul.

In addition, this Meetup has been successful in getting billboards up around town.

Catholics Protest Mike Huckabee

Iowa: Arrested at Mike Huckabee's campaign headquarters were Catholics chanting "who would Jesus bomb."

Rumor was that the protesters were denying Huckabee entrance into his own HQ, but that does not appear to be the case, at least from viewing the video.

The ubiquitous Ron Paul signs appear at the edge of the crowd, but it does not appear that any Paul supporters were arrested, nor even part of the protest. Ron Paul's campaign headquarters are in the same building as Huckabee's.
